Quartet given FA Cup permission
The Royals have given permission for four players to play in the FA Cup first round this coming weekend.
We have 16 players at other clubs right now, and a number of them go into the first round matches.
Nicholas Bignall joined Northampton this week, and he can play for the Cobblers in a live Setanta game with Leeds United on Friday evening, kick off 7:45pm.
Our duo Alan Bennett and Ben Hamer [pictured] can both play for Brentford as they travel to Havant & Waterlooville on Sunday - kick off 2pm, live on ITV1.
Scott Davies can play for Aldershot, who are at home to Rotherham on Saturday afternoon, kick off 3pm.
But our quartet of Adam Federici, Hal Robson-Kanu, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Simon Church will not play for their respective clubs in the cup this weekend.
Alex McCarthy has already played for Team Bath in a qualifying round, and his side face Forest Green on Sunday as two of the 15 non-League sides left in.
Daniel Spence played for Woking but they are now knocked out, and so too our young trio of Ross Kitteridge, Tom Hateley and Mitchell Bryant and Basingstoke.
