Church breaks hand; Kanu is back
Young Reading striker Simon Church has broken his hand and will be out of action for around a month.
The frontman, 19, is on loan at Wycombe Wanderers until December 20th, and it is hoped he will be back in action before the deal reaches its conclusion.
With Wanderers preparing for an FA Cup game last week that Simon was not eligible to play in, he training with Reading for a couple of days but felly awkwardly and has had pins inserted to help the injury heal fully.
Meanwhile, Hal Robson-Kanu and Gylfi Sigurdsson are back training with the Royals after their loans at Southend and Shrewsbury came to a conclusion.
Hal spent the maximum permitted three months at Roots Hall, playing 13(+2) games and scoring two goals. He played another 6(+2) matches for the Shrimpers during last season, scoring a further three goals.
Sigurdsson spent a month at the New Meadow, playing on 5(+1) occasions, scoring on his full debut and earning a place in the League Two team of the week.
Adam Federici is also with the Essex side, and his loan is scheduled to end after this weekend's game against a high-flying Oldham Athletic outfit.
Alex Pearce scored his second goal in two games for Southampton but they lost 2-1 at home to Wolves.
