Pearce plays in losing Scots cause

Posted on: Wed 19 Nov 2008

Alex Pearce played the full 90 minutes for Scotland's under 21s in their 3-1 defeat against Northern Ireland on Tuesday night.

The central defender was one of only four Scots to last the full game, which saw Scotland take an early lead through Jamie Murphy, but Northern Ireland recovered to win through goals from Josh McQuoid (2) and Andrew Little.

Alex is currently on loan at Southampton, but won't be eligible to play in their side that travels to Madejski Stadium on Saturday.
