The Royals have submitted the final stage of documents relating to our appeal against Jimmy Kebe's red card.

The FA appeals procedure has two stages - firstly a club must notify the FA of an intention to appeal by 1pm on the next working day after the fixture in question.

Clubs then have a further 24 hours to submit evidence to support their appeal, and we have now submitted a statement from the manager and match DVD.

There are two grounds for appeal - a case of mistaken identity or wrongful dismissal, and for red cards only.

On the first working day, the referee will also submit his usual match report containing all cautions and dismissals.

Under the FA's FastTrack appeal system, a commission is assembled quickly to review all the evidence submitted.

The panel will meet in private early this afternoon, and they will also consider a number of other clubs' appeals during the same hearing.

The panel are meeting in advance of this evening's Championship fixture with Blackpool, and if the ban is overturned then Kebe would be able to play tonight.

But if the ban is upheld, his suspension begins immediately and he would be ineligible to play this evening. Violent conduct carries a three-game ban.

The FA's disciplinary procedures are published in full at their website thefa.com
