Goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann injured himself in our 1-0 home win over Blackpool on Tuesday night, and he could be out for a few weeks according to boss Steve Coppell.

Marcus hurt himself while preparing to kick downfield in the 70th minute, but pulled up with a calf problem and had to be replaced by Australian Adam Federici.

Coppell said, "As Marcus went to take a kick he stepped back and something pulled in his calf. And it's a fairly substantial calf he's got! My immediate reaction is that I'd imagine he will be out of action for a few weeks.

"But Federici has been very patiently waiting and now is his opportunity. Again we have great faith in him as a goalkeeper, and we'll see what he's made of now."

Our goalkeeping situation is slightly complicated by the fact that third choice Mikkel Andersen has joined Brentford on a week's emergency loan, and we will try to recall the Danish youth international if required.

Steve said, "First and foremost we'll assess Marcus' condition, then we'll make Brentford aware of the situation.

"We can't weaken ourselves to help somebody else. We thought we had two fit senior goalkeepers - but now if we've only got one available to us then the chances are we'll bring Mikkel back if we can."
