Steve Coppell admits he is still disappointed with the decision not to overturn Jimmy Kebe's red card at Barnsley.
The midfielder was sent off for violent conduct at Oakwell, and we appealed the decision with the FA but they upheld the dismissal and imposed a three-game suspension.
Steve told readingfc.co.uk, "We expected that decision really, but I'm still convinced the referee was incorrect.
"You're almost actively discouraged from contesting a decision but we had never done it before.

"We were relying on and hoping for the mystery commission, and you don't know who's on the panel or what they look at. It's not really a transparent reassessment.
"I know the referee didn't see the incident, he went on the reaction. We felt it was a wrong on us so we had to appeal.
"As suspected the appeal was ignored but we still have the three-game suspension in place.
"To be honest, we didn't provide conclusive evidence - the evidence was circumstantial and I was hoping that they would ask the referee to perhaps review his interpretation of the event, because I know he never saw it.
"If I'm looking at someone out of the corner of my eye, I haven't got a clue what the person is doing. If you're looking in one direction but see something from a different direction, you're aware of what's happening but you can't see it properly. And he never saw it.
"So I'm disappointed, but I didn't really expect a great deal to be honest."
