Royals centre back Michael Duberry has recently started a new online baby store with his partner as he starts to contemplate his life after football!
The 33-year-old was the featured player in the match programme for the Norwich game, and exclusively revealed he has set up mummysonlinebabyshop.com.
After the game, journalists were desperate to find out more about the project, and he was happy to get more publicity!
He said, "I've got four kids myself and every time I was looking for a present I wanted something different. My missus was a buyer with House Of Fraser for five years and we thought we'd give it a go.
"We've not gone massive on it but we've had a good response and some positive feedback - but with the credit crunch the timing's not great! My missus is doing well with it and it's about getting the word out really.
"We're not making the stuff ourselves, it's not like I'm sewing when I go home after training! We just wanted unusual stuff, not just white babygros, something with a wow factor when people go to baby showers.
"If you go to mummysonlinebabyshop.com then you can sell all that for yourself!"
He continued, "Obviously when you get older you start thinking about things after football. People say about coaching but I don't know. I like passing knowledge on to young lads but before coming to Reading I'd been away from family for nine years and I'm not sure I'm ready for travelling and all that."
The online store contains plenty of varied items for the baby who has everything - some favourites include the Bob Marley Lullaby CD, the 'Momma Ain't Raisin' No Fool' babygro and the Skull & Crossbones beaker.
