Lita - I've changed for the better
Leroy Lita believes he has changed for the better - and wants to use his new-found maturity to help us to promotion..
The striker, 24, came off the bench against Watford to make his first Royals league appearance since August - and promptly scored the final goal in a 4-0 win.
He is delighted to be back in the fold once again, saying, "After I came back the manager and I spoke, he said he would love me to stay here and be part of things, and I made it clear to him I've got no plans to go anywhere.
"In the past maybe I've let things get to me too much. Now there's nothing in my head other than helping the lads achieve what we want for the rest of the season.
"In the past couple of seasons sometimes I've felt unsettled, I've got to get my head now and my focus is to help the team for the rest of the season.
"Maybe in the past I've not dealt with things in the right way but I've learned from that. I spoke to the gaffer and I'm maturing all the time. As long as the team win I'm happy.
"I love this club and being here, everyone has been good to me and I want to help the team by putting my shift in.
"I just like playing and when I wasn't doing that I looked to go out on loan. When I was at Norwich I was looking out for the lads' result every week.
"I'm not the same character when I'm not playing, and the manager has said to me I'm a big influence in the dressing room, so use that in a positive way.
"If I'm not playing I've got to be the same player and help the team. So if the lads are doing well give them their credit and I'm happy.
"We've got a great bunch here, they are focused and committed to the goal."
Leroy received a rapturous reception when coming off the bench, and he was very grateful for the support.
"The fans have been quality to me and I'd like to thank them for that. I really appreciate it. That's what football is all about, doing well for them and it was a great day.
"The fans here are good to all the players, they get behind them and they're good for the team so long may it continue."
