Kalifa Cisse believes our midweek win over Wolves is worth more than just three points as the Royals look for immediate promotion back up to the Premier League.
Victory narrows the gap at the top down to two points, and we fully deserved to beat Mick McCarthy's side after an enthralling encounter at Madejski Stadium.
Cisse, who played the last hour at centre back after Michael Duberry went off through injury, said, "It was very important and more than just three points.
"It was important for the confidence and now we must just stay concentrated for the next game this weekend.
"Centre back or centre midfield? I just like to play! Most important was the clean sheet and the win.
"I run more in midfield but at the back there's more contact, more headers so it's a different job.
"Everyone was terrific in defence, Julian and Alex coming in to play like they did."
The win capped off a good few days for Kalifa, 25, having also signed a new contract to tie him down until 2011.
He said, "I was very happy with that, the club showed some real trust in me and I thank them."
