Former Reading winger Bobby Convey has signed for American MLS team San Jose Earthquakes.

Convey left Reading by mutual consent late last week, and has now signed for the Californian outfit.

Under the American transfer system, the Earthquakes used their position at the top of the allocation rankings to sign Bobby, and they now drop to the bottom of those rankings.

Bobby will line up alongside former Norwich man Darren Huckerby at the Buck Shaw Stadium.

The MLS season begins on Saturday 21st March and runs until late October.
