Noel Hunt was left desperately disappointed with Saturday's 1-0 home defeat to Nottingham Forest - and the frontman wants players and supporters to keep their cool as we look to get our promotion bid back on track quickly.
This weekend's loss was doubly frustrating as we could have had the game out of sight by half time, but couldn't take any of our chances and the allowed the visitors back into the match after the break.
Noel said, "We couldn't get a goal, we got hit by a sucker punch, a single goal that we didn't deserve. We have to stay positive, that's what we are going to do now.
"We are having a little bump and the main thing is that the fans don't get too frustrated. I know it's hard for them but they are our twelfth man and we need them behind us whatever the score is.
"Saturday was another frustrating day but we can agree that it was a better performance and if we keep doing what we are doing I think the goals will come."
The Royals have the opportunity to get back on track with a trip to Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday evening, and Noel is pleased to be playing again so quickly.
He said, "It's nice to be playing midweek. We will have our heads ready for that game, we know it's a massive game.
"Every game from now until the end of the season is massive and we are going to be confident going there.
"If we play like we did in the first half on Saturday then I'm sure it will come."
