Glen Little admits he is excited by the opportunity to help the Royals in their promotion push, having rejoined the Club on loan from Portsmouth until the end of the season.

The winger told readingfc.co.uk, "I'm really looking forward to it; it should be an exciting end to the season and I'll do everything I can to try to help Reading get back into the Premier League.

"I'm fit and have been training every week, but just haven't had the opportunity to play at Portsmouth since Boxing Day which has been frustrating.

"I'm desperate to get out there and play, but I've not even played any reserve games recently so the question of whether I'm ready to start is one for the manager to decide.

"Once the opportunity to return to Reading came up, I had no hesitation in accepting. I had two or three other good offers but there was only one place I wanted to come.

"I never really wanted to leave Reading in the first place, but when I was given the chance to join a Premier League club who had just won the FA Cup and qualified for Europe, I couldn't turn it down.

"Now I'm back with Reading and delighted to be here again.

"Some people say 'never go back' but I don't agree with that. When I was at Burnley, Steve Davis returned for a second spell and it was really successful.

"And Robbie Blake's gone back to Burnley now and is playing some of the best football of his life.

"Robbie Keane and Jermain Defoe have also both done really well since going back to Tottenham, so it wasn't an issue for me.

"Now I'll just look to train well and see what happens. Hopefully I can add something - even if it's only 5% it might be the difference that's needed."
