Royals boss Steve Coppell admits it is highly unlikely he will make a loan signing before the transfer deadline.
Clubs have until 5pm on Thursday to agree new loan deals, and following his recent moves for Glen Little and Dave Kitson, Steve does not expect to swoop again this week.
When asked if he will look to bring in new faces, he told our online TV station Reading World, "Almost definitely not.
"I look at the squad we have and sooner or later you need to stop collecting players that might just give you comfort or end up sitting in the stand.
"The squad is good enough to take us where we want to go. We have sufficient depth, we're not vulnerable and now it's time to show if we're going to be good enough
"There are seven games left and we have to show that we're capable enough, in a pressure situation, to mount a serious challenge and be promoted come May."
Any loan news - either in or out - will be sent first to subscribers to our official Royals text message service - TEXT CLUB READ ON to 88442 to sign up. Full details and pricing in the Mobile Zone.
