MK Dons were named winners after taking their Soccer AM style review programme 'The Dons Show' on the road to local schools, increasing interest and subscriber levels for their digital offering.
Ben Gallop, Head of BBC Sport Interactive, and judge in this category, commented that this was "an innovative idea with clear objectives, impressive engagement with local schools, and high production standards."
The FL Awards ceremony took place at Grosvenor House Hotel on Sunday evening in front of more than 800 attendees from clubs, sponsors and the football industry, and also saw Graeme Murty win the Community Player of the Year award, while Kevin Doyle was second in the Player of the Year category behind Wolves' Sylvan Ebanks-Blake.
Reading FC was also shortlisted in the Family Club of the Year category.
