Royals striker Noel Hunt is out for the rest of the season through injury, and the Irishman admits he is 'devastated' that he cannot play a part in our final push for promotion.
Hunt injured his foot in our last home game with Barnsley, and he told readingfc.co.uk, "I'm gutted to miss the rest of the season, devastated really, to be honest.
"I knew quickly what I'd done, I hoped I could forget the pain but I just couldn't get through the game, I was gutted.
"There's a small crack in the bone and the doctors are wanting to check the ligaments underneath but I don't think there's anything wrong there. Hopefully I will be back fit and ready for the start of pre-season."
Noel is backing his teammates to do the business this weekend though, saying, "The boys have been fantastic, they put on a great show at Norwich on Monday night and I was watching, kicking every ball! They've been magnificent and we've touched form at the right time.
"Now we just hope for Sunday, it's a massive game and the boys are up for it, the mood's changed and everyone has their twinkle back, you can see it.
"It's a massive game, a sell out, I've got my family over and we'll all be fans for the day! We'll be cheering on and it could be a special day."
Noel has been named in the top three in our player of the season vote, and the winner will be announced before Sunday's match, which kicks off at 1:15pm.
