Royals goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann is desperate to get promoted again - because he felt the pain of relegation more than any other player.
We were sent down on goal difference last season, and Marcus, 36, says it hit him the hardest.
He said, "Relegation last season was a failure and if we go back up this year we won't feel so bad. We went down on goal difference and it looks worse on a goalie, I took it hard.
"A few weeks ago we almost thought we might not even make the play-offs. We needed to win a game just to get on a good run and give us a chance in the play-offs.
"We've done that, but now suddenly we're in with a chance of automatic, which is a bonus. It's not in our hands but we've got a chance if we win.
"I've been asked if I'll follow the Palace game, it would be easy as a 'keeper to do that but it just doesn't matter, we have to win. A draw is no good, bottom line."
Marcus will make his 300th start in a Reading shirt this afternoon. The match is completely sold out.
