4.20pm: Teams are in, Reading go 4-3-3 and make three changes. Same back four and 'keeper from last week. Brynjar Gunnarsson, Marek Matejovsky and Jay Tabb are the midfield three, with Kevin Doyle, Shane Long and Jimmy Kebe our forwards. Jem Karacan, Stephen Hunt and Dave Kitson drop out, and Glen Little is not in the 16. Wade Elliott and Rhys Williams are out for Burnley, Michael Duff and Joey Gudjonnson coming in.
4.49pm - The atmosphere is starting to build here. Horns are being blown, a few flags are being waved and the fans seem to be ready for a big game this evening.
5.12pm - Aptly, Europe's 'The Final Countdown' is played over the PA system. This is it! The pitch is cleared of the last few players warming up and we're ready for it all to start.
5.15pm - The home fans are drowning out the song though - the two teams are given a raucous welcome onto the Turf Moor pitch.
5.18pm - There's not a lot of room in the press seating here - I'm going to keep clashing arms with website manager Craig 'elbows' Mortimer this evening!
1 min - Liam Rosenior is penalised for a push and Hahmenann has to push it beyond his far post for a corner. An all-orange man clears it with his head and Reading can calm things down a little.
7 mins - Reading have had a bit more possession and watchfully seens a few long balls bounce through to Hahnemann. Reading's defenders have the sun in their eyes this half.
8 mins - Matejovsky brings it clear from midfield and finds Doyle ahead of him. He feeds Kebe on the left, but there's no-one in the middle for Kebe's cross, which lands on the roof of the net anyway.
10 mins - Duberry clatters into Joey Gudjonsson but Reading break from the cleared free kick. Kebe and Doyle get in each other's way but Doyle's backheel finds Tabb, who wins a corner. Matejovsky's inswinger is easily headed away.
18 mins - Reading deal with a dangerous corner well - Doyle nodding clear. Burnley looking the more threatening but Reading holding their own and looking to break when they can.
21 mins - Burnley substitution. Gudjonsson is going to have to come off here. Kevin McDonald is on in his place.
23 mins - Robbie Blake has only Rosenior in front of him and he edges it into a spare yard and arrows a low snapshot just wide of the bottom left corner. Blake is a danger.
24 mins - Rosenior's low cross is cleared but only out to Doyle on the right. He swings in an excellent deep ball that Matejovsky touches back for Tabb. He strikes it well and Jensen pulls off a great save. It falls to Matejovsky's feet tight to the byline and he shoots from a very tight angle. Jensen smothers it though. The big keeper is keeping Reading at bay again - just like he did here in October.
26 mins - A hurried clearance from Rosenior goes out for a corner, but Matejoovsky chests it down and hacks it clear at the far post.
29 mins - Gunnarsson wins a free kick which Reading take quickly. Rosenior launches it long towards Kebe at the far post and it is nodded down for the late-arriving Duberry. He tries a cheeky first time lob but it sails over the bar.
31 mins - A ball is bassed into the Royals box from the right and Duberry's toe clears it out to McDonald. He bundles past one man and shoots, but a superb sliding block from Rosenior deflects it wide for a corner. Shouts of handball are speculative and the corner is calmly cleared. Burnley looking a little more menacing as the half goes on.
34 mins - A long goal kick is brought down brilliantly by Paterson who is in behind the Royals line here. Bikey just puts a burst of pace in though, gets in between man and ball and sees it out for a goal kick.
35 mins - Long's cross is headed behind for a corner. Bikey wins the header but it is powered straight at Jensen who saves it instinctively. Doyle stabs it goalwards and surely it must be in - but no Paterson clears it off the line. Shouts of handball go up again but to no avail. That's the closest ether team have come and Reading couldn't have come much closer!
37 mins - Matejovsky is penalised for a tackle which seemed to see him win the ball. The yellow card comes out and a free kick is given, but Reading's Sunday league charge works a treat.
39 mins - Kebe has some space to run at his man on the left. He cuts in onto his right foot and fires a powerful shot just over.
39 mins - Kevin Doyle is not going to be able to continue. Let's hope it's not a recurrance of that knee injury! Dave Kitson replaces him. How big a loss will Doyle be?
45 mins - Paterson heads a deep cross back from the byline but Duberry is there to shepherd it back to Hahnemann on the edge of his six yard box.
HALF TIME - Reading have had the two best chances and Jensen has kept the game goalless. But it's all to play for here.
Doyle's injury is apparently an ankle knock - when the striker was tracking back to prevent Eagles crossing from the right.
49 mins - Kitson wins a free kick 30 yards out just right of centre. Jay Tabb and Matejovsky stand over it. Matejovsky dinks the ball into the box, but Bikey can't get his head on it and Harding's follow-up delivery is also headed clear.
52 mins - Gunnarsson twists away from two men, but then takes to long to release it and is dispossessed by Paterson. He unleashes an effort from 25 yards but Hahnemann pats it away from his top left corner quite comfortably. He can even stop it going for a corner.
57 mins - Burnley are misplacing a few passes now and the crowd are getting on their backs.
58 mins - Eagles is replaced by Steven Thompson for the hosts. That may see Burnley change formation and stick two up front.
63 mins - Thompson wins a corner on the right, which Reading scrappily hack clear.
71 mins - It is all very scrappy second half. You get the feeling one goal might be all that separates the sides today.
73 mins - Long races past the left back and puts a very good cross into the middle. No-one is there to get a head to it though and Clarke Carlisle can nod it on for a throw on the left.
75 mins - Kebe's cross is hacked away but Tabb's is flicked on by Long. It flies past Kitson at the far post though and Burnley clear. The Royals in the ascendancy here though.
77 mins - Kebe wins a free kick on the right that Matejovsky delivers. It flies all the away across to Rosnior on the right side, who lofts a cross back into the middle. Jensen spills it and a foul is given before Long can stab it goalwards. Whether it was a foul is debatable.
79 mins - The hosts come alive though as a McCann volley deflects off Gunnarsson's head and flies just over.
81 mins - A long ball is lumped down the left channel and Kebe's touch takes it inside Carlise and the winger is in here. He has Kitson inside him and he tries to touch it in to him. But a Burnley leg touches it past the left post and behind for a corner. That was a great chance!
83 mins - PENALTY! Bikey tugs at Thompson's shoulder as he looks to get onto a ball through the middle. Thompson goes down and the referee points to the spot! Was it inside or outside the box? Graham Alexander places it top right corner and Burnley have an undeserved lead.
87 mins - Cisse is on for Gunnarsson now and Paterson is replaced Jay Rodriguez.
89 mins - Burnley looking for a second now to kill this tie off. The crowd are behind them now that's for sure.
90 mins - Kitson wins a free kick as Duff climbs all over him. He isn't happy with that challenge. Matejovsky swings it in but again the referee awards a foul to the home side.
90(+2) mins - A red card now. Blake seemed to be dragging Bikey down and Bikey is shown a straight red card for a stamp maybe? Bikey is furious!
FULL TIME - Reading now have to win to reach the play-off final. Just like the first league game here, the Royals were the better side for much of the game, but Burnley have somehow nicked a win at home. Bikey will be out of the second leg and Reading have a deficit to battle back from.
