Blow for Walcott's England
Young Reading forward Jacob Walcott suffered disappointment while away on international duty with England's under 17s last week.
Jacob was on duty with his country at the UEFA European U17s Championship, but John Peacock's side only picked up one point from three games.
They finished bottom in their group, which meant they did not qualify for the FIFA U17 World Cup in October.
Walcott started one game, the final match against Turkey, a 1-0 defeat, and almost opened the scoring on 51 minutes but saw his effort saved.
He was an unused sub in the first match, a 1-1 draw with Holland, and then came off the bench late on during a 4-0 loss to hosts Germany.
Walcott will still have learned from the experience, playing in front of 8,500 in the Germany game and 3,456 in the Turkey match.
The under 17s are next in action in the FA International Tournament at the beginning of next season.
