New manager Brendan Rodgers was introduced to the media at Madejski Stadium on Friday lunchtime, and we have a four-part complete transcript here at the official site. Below is part four.

Reading World has a full video interview with Brendan and complete press conference video live right now.

You've got Premier League standard players, how much of a battle is it to hold on to them?
I had the same situation at Watford. We have Premier League players and when you come out of the Premier League, especially in the second season, it becomes very difficult to hold on to them. You're talking Kevin Doyle for example and I know we were interested in him at Chelsea. This is a guy who is well thought of at that level. I would love to work with the best players but the reality is it's very different and I have no problem with that. Sometimes you have to live in the reality and it's something I'm aware of.

How difficult is it to balance that, looking at finances and wanting to keep the best players?
It's fortunate here to have a terrific team of people. I've learned you can't do it on your own. Nick is to my left and I know the Director Of Football label is sometimes a difficult situation for managers, but I learned at the very highest level that it's how you should work. I studied a lot in Europe and here, I worked closely with Frank Arnesen and it's something I am totally comfortable with. Nick is honest, loyal and trustworthy. I've known him professionally and personally for a long time. On top of that we've the Chairman, Nigel and Ian. What you see today hasn't just been the last couple of years, it's been ongoing for nearly 20 years. It's run very, very well and the economics are sound. I am ambitious to work with the best players but I understand the reality and we will always try to get the best here we can.

Who will have the final say on players?
Always the manager. Always. I'm very fortunate to have someone in Nick who is my right arm. From our early discussions the guys here will know I'm a man of my own mind. I've not gone to become a manager at a young age because I accept everything that's put in front of me. I've always had that ambition, that relationship and my communication is open. I will be open with everyone here, in particular Nick, who I know well and I am comfortable with that.

You were aided at Watford by Frank Lampard Sr, will he be coming here and if not what's your background make-up?
Yes, absolutely. We're just trying to tie that up and I need to respect them until it's complete and done. It'll be similar to what I had at Watford, it's an exciting team coming in.
