New manager Brendan Rodgers says he wants Reading people to feel proud of their team, and he is looking forward to the opportunity to inspire the town.
Brendan has been planning hard for pre-seasonweeks, and begins training with the squad next week.
This marks the beginning of a new era for not just the Football Club but the town as well, and when asked what he is most looking forward to about the new job, Brendan simply said, "Inspiring the town.
"I'm looking to get the feelgood factor back into the town and making the supporters proud of their team.
"On top of that I am really looking forward to working with the players, getting on to the training field and making a difference.
"I know a lot of the players, and it's a great squad, which is one of the big attractions in me coming here, and with a realistic chance of getting to the Premier League.
"The opportunity to bring this club forward will be based on the players and it's a great squad. There are big players, gifted young players and it's about getting the blend right.
"There's a big future here for lots of players and I'm looking forward to helping them, then helping the team be successful."
