Brendan Rodgers will meet with Kevin Doyle today to give the departing striker an insight into how our new manager operates.

Rodgers has a personal dossier outlining his working methods, and in an excellent example of his progressive thinking, he will make that presentation to Doyle, even though the 25-year-old is leaving.

Brendan told readingfc.co.uk, "I will speak with him because maybe we will get the chance to work together again in the future.

"The Club means a lot to him and I want to present him with the idea of how I work.

"Some managers will say 'why do that, he's gone, it doesn't matter' but I always have one eye on today and one on tomorrow.

"Maybe Kevin gets the chance to come back when we are a Premier League club. Then he has the insight of how the manager works, and I look forward to speaking to him on that."
