Brendan to outline 'world class' model
New manager Brendan Rodgers has arranged meetings with his players and staff to present them all with his vision for the future under his management.
Rodgers meets his staff on Friday, then follows it up by seeing the players on Monday to outline his non-traditional method of work and the high standards he expects in return from everyone connected to the Club.
Our 36-year-old manager told readingfc.co.uk. "I will present my vision and how to move forward. We have just finished a great era under a great manager but that era is now over. It's a new cycle now, and I hope it's an exciting one for the supporters.
"These meetings are a case of me presenting my vision to the people I will be working with every day. I am very much about open communication. It's no good me knowing where we are going if nobody else does.
"This is about defining the standard that is required. What I am bringing here is a world class model of work. People think that being world class is about money but it isn't, it's about the standard you work to.
"I learned that in my work before, it's not money, it's how you do things.
"This will reintroduce everybody to how I work. I will outline the standard and then we will go to work, and work well.
"We will give our life to get into the Premier League."
On Monday and Tuesday the players will undergo medical checks and fitness drills, then on Wednesday they begin full pre-season training.
