Live updates
7:30pm - Teams are in. Full debuts for Hamer, Mills and Bignall, and a first start for Mooney and Sigurdsson. Antonio could be a sixth debutant if he comes off the bench. Only Rosenior and skipper Pearce remain from Saturday.

7:40pm - Burton team update, and they only name six subs for this evening's match. Kevin Poole lines up in goal, and at 46 he is surely the oldest player to play at Madejski Stadium.

4 mins - The game has been all Reading's but then Liam Rosenior tries to chest a harmless cross from the right back to Ben Hamer. It doesn't have much on it though and Hamer can't get there before Burton striker Greg Pearson, who shoots first time from 10 yards out but Hamer does well to parry it away. That could easily have been the opener.

6 mins - But now the opener come's Reading's way. Mooney wrestles away from a challenge on the right side of the box and, from a very tight angle, smashes an effort high into the roof of the net. A good finish - Kevin Poole had no chance!

8 mins - 2-0! This could get embarrassing for the League Two newcomers. Matejovsky slides a pass in between two defenders and Nicholas Bignall is scampering onto it. He edges inside with his first touch and only has the keeper to beat. He makes no mistake driving low left-footed past the Burton stopper and into the open net.

10 mins - 3-0! Bignall again chases after a Matejovsky forward ball and nips in between Poole and a defender on the edge of the Burton box. He keeps his feet and passes it into an open net from 15 yards out.

20 mins - Pearson gets the ball on the left side of Reading's box and he jinks inside Mills to fire a very nice effort goalwards. Hamer has to be alert and get down quickly and low to his left to palm it to safety with a good save.

26 mins - At this moment you can bet live on Reading to win this match - the Royals are 1/500 to emerge victorious after ninety minutes on Bet365. So if anyone's got a cool half million to spend, you can earn yourself a quick £1,000 if your visit the Bet365 site.

28 mins - Goal of the season perhaps! What a strike. Gylfi Sigurdsson unleashes an astonishing strike from 35 yards that whistles past Poole's dive and in off the inside of the right post. What a goal!

30 mins - A slight break in play as Dave Mooney gets some treatement for a blood wound to his face. He's fine to carry on after a change of shirt though.

39 mins - A chance for Ryan Austin to pull one back for the visitors is squandered. He heads wide of the far post when connecting with a deep free kick.

42 mins - Poole has to pull off an excellent right handed save low to his right to prevent Bignall completing his hat-trick with a low drilled effort from the edge of the area.

HALF TIME - Easy for Reading. Thoughts are already turning to who we'd like in the next round. Do we fancy a glamour tie against Manchester City, or a trip to Swindon?

Albion have made a change at the break. Jimmy Phillips replaces Richard Walker.

50 mins - Pearson tries his luck from distance but drags a weak effort well wide of the left upright.

52 mins - Sigurdsson now has a go from 25 yards but he never looked set and, trying to cut a low shot back across Poole, he pulls it wide of the right post.

54 mins - Henry lines up a free kick just on the left corner of the Burton box. He bends it round the wall and Poole leaps to his right to save well. A good effort from Henry.

58 mins - Mills comes forward and into some space inside the Burton half. He chips a ball forward and Bignall touches it back to Sigurdsson. The Icelander takes a couple of touches looking for a shooting angle and eventually pulls the trigger, but fires over.

60 mins - GOAL! And the away fans have something to celebrate. Phillips shoots speculatively from the left side and it takes two wicked deflections and flies past Hamer to nestle inside the right post.

61 mins - Reading substitution. Bignall won't be allowed to get his hat-trick tonight. He is replaced by Noel Hunt, who receives a good reception.

72 mins - Not a lot happening at the Madejski as the result was put beyond doubt some time ago.

78 mins - Gylfi plays a good bouncing ball over the top to send Noel Hunt scampering into the box ahead of his marker. He drives low across Poole, who can only half stop it and Mooney follows it up to tap home from a yard out.

83 mins - Mooney now the man looking for his hat-trick and he heads a difficult chance high over the bar from a way out. Good cross from Rosenior on the right.

86 mins - Henry collects the ball with his back to goal but turns swiftly and shoots from 20 yards towards the bottom right corner. Poole is behind this one though and gathers it comfortably.

FULL TIME - The game ends and the Royals will be looking at the draw for the Second Round tomorrow night.
