Brendan on Hunt exit

Posted on: Fri 12 Aug 2011
Brendan Rodgers has paid tribute to former winger Stephen Hunt, who has left the Club to join Hull City.

Hunt, 29, goes to the KC Stadium for a sizeable fee, and Brendan said, "Stephen is a good guy who has given his all for four years. He came in on a free, we have benefitted from having him and he has benefitted from being here.

"It's good for both sides, Stephen has been looking to go from before I came here. He's now a Hull player, I can only wish him all the best.

"He was always very respectful to the group while he was here. He worked hard, he worked well and I understand his ambitions personally. I would just place on record that he was a good man and I wish him all the very best."

On the possibility of new faces arriving at Madejski Stadium in the near future, Rodgers added, "I'm looking to get one or two in and I hope we can do that. There's still a few weeks left and we'll look to get some movement on that front. The club are working on that objective."
