Charges follow Swansea game

Posted on: Mon 24 Aug 2009
The Royals and Swansea have both been charged following an incident at Liberty Stadium last week.

Hal Robson-Kanu initially fouled Nathan Dyer, then the ball was kicked at our winger's head as he lay on the floor, and players from both teams then became involved.

An FA statement read:
Reading FC have been charged following an incident of mass confrontation in their match against Swansea City FC at The Liberty Stadium on 18 August 2009.

The charge relates to a breach of FA rule E20 (a) for failing to control their players.

The club has until 8 September 2009 to respond to the charge.

Please note that Swansea City FC are under the jurisdiction of the Football Association of Wales and not The FA.
