Midfield man
Marek Matejovsky was left dumbfounded after seeing the Royals dominate Cardiff on Wednesday night but somehow end up with a 1-0 defeat.
Reading were much the better side, and did everything but score. Based on our performance a draw would have been harsh on Brendan Rodger's men, never mind a defeat.
Marek made his first League start of the campaign and said afterwards, "We played good football, we had good possession but we couldn't score. It's unbelievable for me, Cardiff played deep and it's hard to score.
"We have big quality and just need to score, it's simple. Maybe we need a bit of luck.
"In the first game against Nottingham we played well and didn't score, also Saturday too. In training everything is very good and I think we just need one goal."
Matejovsky was pleased to be back in the team, and got the full 90 minutes under his belt after recovering from injury. "I had groin problems, last two weeks I have trained hard.
"I can be better but I am happy I am back in the team and hopefully we can get some better results."
