The teams are in and Brendan Rodgers has made two changes from the side that lost at home to Cardiff on Wednesday.

Brynjar Gunnarsson is in for Jem Karacan, while Simon Church starts up front alongslide Grzegorz Rasiak as Noel Hunt drops to the bench.

2.40pm - Hunt, Mills, Ingimarsson, Karacan, Cisse and Kebe have formed a small circle for some pre-match keepy-ups. All look relaxed ahead of the game.

2.53pm - The press are shoehorned into a small press box at the back of the old stand at London Road. It's a squeeze and we're penned in behind glass - I think it might be a bit warm in here after ninety minutes of feverish typing.

2.56pm - Posh seem to have a fan lining up alongside them at the start. They also have a very well-dressed man in top hat and tails and wielding a cane welcoming the players onto the pitch.

4 mins - The Royals are on top here. Gunnarsson then Cummings win free kicks, the second of which is whipped in by Howard but easily cleared.

5 mins - Cummings loops a ball over the top for Sigurdsson, who brings it down well 10 yards out and to the right of the goal. He tries to dink it into the middle but instead ends up passing it harmlessly into Joe Lewis' hands.

8 mins - The Royals' luck is still out. Cummings is found by Matejovsky and he drills a low cross into the middle. Sigurdsson touches it goalwards but it deflects off Rasiak and bounces agonisingly wide of the right post.

9 mins - Marek Matejovsky is allowed to edge in from the left and he takes the opportunity and then unleashes a right-footed effort that sails over the bar.

10 mins - Cummings wins a free kick on the right and Howard passes it inside to Marek Matejovsky. He takes a touch round one defender but drags his 22-yard effort well wide. All Reading at the moment, but that's how it was against Cardiff in midweek.

13 mins - Rasiak an Matejovsky combine and the latter feeds Church with a nice pass. Church shoots from a tight angle but scuffs his effort and it's easy for Lewis.

20 mins - A near post clearance flies high in the air and Federici decides late to come and punch it. He doesn't get there and it is nodded goalwards by Whelpdale. Cummings is there to acrobatically hook it clear of the gaping goalmouth. Federici needs some treatment here.

22 mins - Sigurdsson launches it across field looking for Church. He nods it down for Rasaik to turn and volley but the Pole's effort is charged down and Church is flagged offside anyway.

29 mins - Sigurdsson wins a free kick 22 yards out and opts to take it himself. He curls a beautiful set piece over the wall, past the diving Lewis and inside the left upright. A great free kick! Reading lead!

32 mins - Good persistence sees Sigurdsson win the ball on the right wing. It rolls to Rasiak who dribbles into the box and shoots low and left footed. Lewis is equal to this one though.

38 mins - United have a good chance when a cross is whipped in from the left. Mackail-Smith launches himself at the header, but is under pressure and can only direct his header wide of the top left corner.

39 mins - Reading win it in midfield and break in numbers it's four on two here but Howard's pass left is too heavy for Sigurdsson and a Posh defender can hack it away.

41 mins - Sugurdsson delivers another stunning free kick with his left foot. Church is completely unmarked and glances a header home from six yards out. Reading in control

43 mins - Bertrand glides onto a pass from Matejovsky and fizzes a low cross into the near post. Church misses his kick and it flies into the middle only to ba hoofed clear by a sliding United defender on the goalline.

HALF TIME - The Royals are in complete control here and surely just need to keep passing it about as they have in the first half to claim three points this afternoon.

Posh double sub: Keates and Frecklington replace Diagouraga and Whelpdale.

47 mins - Federici pulls of a stunning raction save from Mackail-Smith's header but from the resulting corner Mackail-Smith stoops to glance home from close range. Peterborough have a lifeline.

49 mins - Federici again in action to turn a rasping shot from Frecklington over the bar. Peterborough are a new side and Reading will have to weather this storm.

54 mins - Astonishing after the first half display, but Peterborough find themselves level. On the break, Boyd pushes it wide to McLean who lines up a shot and smashes it through Federici and low inside the right post.

63 mins - Sigurdsson crosses low into the near post from the left and Church dives to try to nod it inside the post. He can't get much of a connection though and Lewis gathers it well.

66 mins - Mackail-Smith gets it on the byline from a throw in. He twists past his man and hammers a good right-footed effort at goal which Federici does well to push onto his post and behind.

70 mins - Royals sub Noel Hunt is on for Church up front.

71 mins - Posh sub: Day is on for Williams.

73 mins - Sigurdsson recieves it from Bertrand on the left and delivers a deep cross to the far post. Rasiak is there and wins his header but he can only direct it over the bar.

75 mins - Mackail-Smith pulls Pearce out of position again and runs at him, Pearce can't stop him and his pull back bobbles to McLean only to see his shot blocked by Sigurdsson.

77 mins - Royals sub: Gunnarsson is replaced by Jimmy Kebe.

79 mins - Federici finds Kebe with a great early kick forward. He can't pick out a man with his cross though and Sigurdsson retrieves it but hammers it high over the bar from 25 yards.

81 mins - Kebe does well to get the cross in from the right. Rasiak rises but can't direct it goalwards.

83 mins - Coutts curls a corner in from the right and it falls to Morgan who stabs it goalwards from 10 yards out. It' straight at Federici though, who gathers it on his line.

89 mins - Martin gets it on the right and crosses it into the middle. George Boyd is on the end of it, unmarked, and he directs a beautiful flick past Federici from six yards out.

90 (+1) mins - Rasiak nods it down as Reading scrap for a point. It falls to Hunt who toes it goalwards from 10 yards out, but Lewis makes a good reaction save to concede a corner.

90(+2) mins - The corner is floated in and Lewis comes for it. He doesn't get there though and Kebe has a free header but it flies off the winger's head and wide of the right post.

 FULL TIME - A demoralising defeat, having led 2-0 and looked like they were strolling to victory.
