Brendan Rodgers says his team were unable to capitalise on a good start and take all three points at home to Watford.
Grzegorz Rasiak's first Reading goal put Rodgers' men in front after six minutes, and we looked sharp and well set for all three points and an all-important home victory.
But Danny Graham's looped header just after the hour made it 1-1, and neither team was able to make a crucial further breakthrough, Watford also reduced to ten mate very late on.
Rodgers said in his post-match press conference, "I thought we had a really good start to the game. The motivation of the team is great at the moment and I thought we were outstanding for the first 15 or 20 minutes. But it's a sign of our confidence that we went on to relax.
"We started well but didn't push on from that and control the game as I'd have liked. Watford are a good side, they did very well, they have good young players, that's why they have won games and you can see the confidence level they have.
"We want to get this disappointing home run nailed now. It's another game gone by but we have to persevere.
"We showed good signs in part of the game but we need to improve our consistency. We'll continue to make our luck, we're working hard, we just need to get a win and then the confidence will come, our good periods will last longer. I was happy in certain moments but not how we went on, really.
"I knew this game wouldn't be easy and so it proved. Reading's results against Watford haven't been great in the last couple of years. We've taken a point, we wanted to win and we're disappointed we didn't roll out a really good start."
