Grzegorz Rasiak and
Jobi McAnuff both performed well for the Royals against their former club Watford this weekend.
Rasiak scored his first goal in Reading colours with an excellent finish, and debutant McAnuff caused lots of problems with an incisive display out on the left wing.
Boss Brendan Rodgers said of the duo, "I thought both of them did well against their former club.
"I thought Jobi was outstanding, especially in the first period. He's not played for a long time, and in our good period he was very good.
"He will be a great player for here because he can go with the ball, he's fast, he can create and score.
"I was pleased with him but he had to come off because I need to protect him.
"Grzegorz is a target man who can be really effective in the box, and he caused them problems.
"They did well, and now we look to move on and get points on the board."
