Jobi McAnuff insists that his team mates will come back stronger from defeat to high-flying West Brom, as they look for immediate redemption with a trip to Loftus Road on Tuesday evening.
Despite dominating the early stages and silencing the home crowd with a Matt Mills goal, the Royals were forced to leave with nothing as the Baggies leapfrogged Newcastle to take top spot in the Championship.
"I think we were one chance and one mistake away from going on and having a great result, but that's the way it's going at the minute," he said.
"There's no point moping around and going into our shells too much, they (QPR) have had a great result at the weekend and it'll be another tough game but we know we're not a million miles away. It's about doing the little things and hopefully things will turn for us."
The former West Ham midfielder has been in sparkling form since making his debut against Watford last month, but was quick to shoulder the blame for West Brom's equaliser after his sliced back pass allowed Jerome Thomas to level things up before half time.
"It was a good start, it's a tough place to come but we controlled it and started really brightly but then as has been happening we gave it away. It was a shocking goal on my part, I just miskicked it, it's one of those horror moments that comes once in your career - I know I have to do better from a personal point of view.
"My team-mates understand that these things happen, it's gutting that I've contributed to a defeat, but you can't let it affect you too much because then you end up being a man down and it's even worse. I'll have to ride it out for a little while and deservedly so. We've got a big game on Tuesday and we've got to dust ourselves down and go again. That's one of the good things in this league, you get a chance to go and put it right."
