The Royals' Women returned to winning ways in style last weekend with a come-from-behind win over recently-relegated Fulham.
Although still acclimatising after their drop from the top tier, the Cottagers took a 5th minute lead with a 25 yard screamer flying past Reading's Irish under-19 international stopper Grace Maloney.
It was not the easiest game on the eye, played in hot conditions on a difficult surface at the Middlesex Stadium, but Frank Rodriguez's women were level as the game approached the half hour mark.
Francesca Kirby mazed through the Fulham defence and finished a fine solo run with a strike straight down the middle which the Cottagers' keeper misjudged.
The teams were level at the break, but Reading started the second half brightly and deservedly took the lead in the 56th minute. Natasha Caswell and Georgia Walters combined to feed Aussie Alison Hogg who was spotted making a fantastic overlapping run down the right.
The right back pulled the trigger and found the top right corner with an excellent effort and a goal which ended up being the match-winner.
And the Royals earned a second win in four days on Wednesday night when they triumphed 3-2 over QPR after an exciting finale.
Goals from Melissa Fletcher, Natasha Caswell and a 91st minute winner from Francesca Kirby saw Frank Rodriguez's girls soar to the top of the table where they share the table-topping honours with Barnet!
