Brendan Rodgers has stated his determination to keep playing attractive football, whilst praising the bravery of his players for sticking to a fluid style of play.
A switch to a 4-3-3 formation boosted the Royals to their first league win at Madejski Stadium since January, though Reading's boss has played down the importance of a change in shape.
"I've been working as a coach for 15 odd years and whether you play 4-3-3, 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1 it's about creating chances," he said.
"We've played with two up-front at home and not created as many chances as we did on Saturday, but it's irrelevant, it's about the players and the types of players you have. For me I like teams to play football, the system is irrelevant. It's about being creative and offensive, but with discipline.
"The players have stuck 100% by what I'm trying to do. Some of it might be foreign to them, and foreign to this league, because I'm asking them to play and be brave. But they're hanging on in there and showing great confidence, so for them on Saturday it was a wonderful moment.
"I feel that the quality we have here is enough, we created chances on Saturday right up until we scored and we're only going to get better. We've still got a young team with young players and they're only going to grow and get better too."
