Thorvaldsson close to signing

Reading are close to completing the loan signing of Icelandic international striker Gunnar Thorvaldsson.
Thorvaldsson has been training with the Club for the last couple of weeks, and will soon put pen to paper at Madejski Stadium.
Under the conditions of the international transfer window, he would be available from 4th January onwards.
Director Of Football Nick Hammond said, "We have an agreement on Thorvaldsson coming in. He has spent some time here and did well. He will give us a slightly different option to what we have already."
The 27-year-old currently plays for Danish top flight side Esbjerg, and scored two goals in our recent reserve team friendly with Bristol Rovers. His two goals in that friendly are on Reading FC Player now.
