Second string fall to defeat

Posted on: Thu 11 Feb 2010
Royals reserves fell to a 2-0 defeat away to Swindon Town on Tuesday evening in tough conditions at Bulpit Lane, Hungerford.

Reading looked threatening in the early stages but found themselves a goal down after just seven minutes, as Mark Marshall latched onto a neat through ball before sliding past Ben Hamer.

Again the visitors pushed forward and Robins 'keeper Jakub Jesionkowski was forced into a number of smart saves, but as the snow started to fall in the latter stages of the contest Town's three points were sealed as Craig Easton drilled an impressive drive home to double his side's lead.

There were some positives for the blue and white hoops -as Julian Kelly continued his come back from injury in the full back spot.
