Adam Federici has spoken of his appreciation for the great backing the team have received over the past few weeks.
Reading's supporters have fully played their part in our excellent results over recent weeks, helping the team to the top of the Championship form table and through to the quarter finals of the FA Cup for the first time in 83 years.
Speaking ahead of tonight's home league game with Derby he said, "Our fans have been fantastic right throughout the cup run and it's sparked our season alive - not just for the players but the fans too, they've been great, they really have.
"The bond has grown, especially since the turn of the year. The support, especially in the cup, has been fantastic. You look around the country and the FA Cup support has dropped but it's picked up here. The buzz is back and hopefully we can keep that up and get up the table.
"We've got three big games and it's good they're at home because our League form has been fantastic at home recently and we'll be looking to continue that. They won't be easy but we're looking forward to it.
"As I say, the bond has really picked up. We've done our part and the crowd have done their part, it's been fantastic.
"We keep going in games and everyone senses that we don't want to lose, we put the work in and it's good to hear everyone cheering. We've scored a few late goals and I believe we could have got one again on Sunday but Villa are a top side and we gave everything we could."
In order to give something back to our supporters, Federici will soon donate his FA Cup boots to one lucky fan - stay tuned to the official site for details in a few days' time.
