Live updates
7pm - Reading's team is in. There's one change from Saturday, Grzegorz Rasiak in for Simon Church. Zurab Khizanishvili is back after being cup tied so makes the bench. We look to be lining up 4-4-2 with big Rasiak alonside Shane Long.
7:10pm - Derby's team named and there are two changes. Rob Hulse and Michael Tonge shake off knocks but Kris Commons, Lee Croft and Gary Teale are all injured at the moment. Chris Porter is out so on-loan Arsenal man Gilles Sunu starts, while Dean Moxey is left out for Jay McEveley, back from a ban.
8.00pm - We're underway here and it is absolutely freezing at the Madejski Stadium! The mini-March heat wave is well and truly over, hats and gloves all round.
8.01pm - What a blistering start! That'll warm the Royals fans up, so close to an opener. Player of the month Jimmy Kebe speeds down the right hand side before slamming a inch perfect centre to Gylfi Sigurdsson. The Reading top scorer gets his head to it but sends the ball over the bar.
8.03pm - No hangover as of yet from the FA Cup quarter-final. McDermott's men are pushing forward from the off.
8.05pm The Kebster, AKA Jimmy Pele bounds forward again - though this time he's pushed to the floor by Jay McEveley. No free-kick given, and Jimmy wags a long finger in disappointment.
8.08pm! GOALL!! What a strike from Shane Long, outstanding! The Irishman receives a neat first time flick from Kebe and with plenty of work to do ghosts past two County defenders before firing a low shot past Bywater. Great pace, great power - the man's a striker in form.
8.09pm The Royals are unrelenting. A half-cleared corner falls to the feet of Gylfi Sigurdsson, who cracks a right footed volley over the bar.
8.13pm Here's an interesting one. Stephen Bywater, the Derby keeper has picked up a knock and limps off. He's replaced by ex-Burton Albion glovesman Saul Deeney - who makes his County debut.
8.17pm Gzegorz Rasiak is down clutching his ankle, but it looks like he'll try and run it off. The big Pole is up against his former paymasters tonight so will be desperate to impress.
8.19pm Another effort on goal from the home side. Good battling from Sigurdsson on the left results in a dink into the box, where by Rasiak thunders in a volley. It takes a couple of deflections before falling just behind Kebe, who tries an audacious back-flick that spoons just over the bar.
8.20pm Kebe and Long are linking up a treat down this right hand side. More neat play creates an opening for Griffin, though he slips before getting a cross in.
8.21pm GOAL! Not quite sure how but Derby are back in it. That was their first attack let alone their first shot, but Sunu saw a skillful toed effort go past Federici into the net.
8.22pm Good respones from the Royals and it's the two shining stars once more. Kebe does well to control before zooming down the right, his centre finds Long who slams in a shot that deflects off two Derby players before somehow rolling behind for a corner.
8.26pm There's been more than enough attacking intent from the blue and white hoops to suggest they have more goals in them, though the Rams seem to have tightened up somewhat since their equaliser.
8.30pm Shane Long is all over the pitch today, this time again popping up on the right wing to win a throw-in for his side. Brimming with confidence.
8.31pm How did that stay out! It's Kebe AGAIN weaving his magic on the right, making a fool out of Robbie Savage before driving into the box and lashing the ball across the six-yard box. With bodies flying everywhere it evades all of them and rolls out for a throw in.
8.32pm Sigurdsson takes a free-kick from long range, whipping it in on goal. Deeney just about gathers.
8.33pm Lovely flicked through ball by Sigurdsson releases Bertrand, who races in on goal. He manages to just about get a shot away but Deeney is again alert, diving bravely to snuff it out.
8.34pm GOAL!!! It was always coming, Reading are back in front. Kebe gets it this time, latching onto a Jay Tabb through ball before once again breezing past Savage and slamming the ball past Deeney.
8.37pm Reading break away but are denied by the linesman's flag, though not in the usual manner. For some reason as Sigurdsson bounds down the left the referee blows his whistle, because the linesman's flag has broken! Quite why that couldn't have waited another two minutes I'll never know. We have a replacement stick on now, if you're interested!
8.39pm Not far from a Kebe brace there! Lovely play from Shane Long as he twists and turns the left side of the Derby back four into submission before clipping over to the back post, where the Malian magician lies in wait. Unfortunately he lashes a volley over the bar.
8.41pm! You couldn't make this up!!!!! Tabb flies in on goal, dinks the ball past Deeney and is hauled down. He's off! The Rams' sub keeper is sent off and they, of course have no stopper on the bench, Robbie Savage is in goal!! He'll face a Shane Long penalty.
8.42pm He misses! Long blazes his spot kick miles over the bar and into the gloating travelling support. This game is extraordinary.
8.45pm Bit of niggle in this one now as referee Mr Wright has a word with a few players after some handbags in the centre circle. No shot on goal yet, Robbie is yet to be tested...
8.47pm Good interchange from Kebe and Long before Tabb lashes in a strike from the edge of the box, though it's just wide. Not a bad goal kick from Savage though!
HALF TIME
21.01pm We're underway again and no change either side. That means you-know-who is still in goal!
21.05pm There's not been a shot on target since the sending off, it can only be a matter of time surely! Howard dinks the ball to Rasiak but he elects for a reverse pass instead of a shot, and it's cleared.
21.07pm It's a shot on target, but from the Rams. Somehow they get men over and work the ball across the box where Sunu smashes an effort in - but it's kicked away by Federici.
21.09pm It's turned into a very scrappy contest, County have one up front and no-one seems to be able to keep possession for a decent period of time.
21.12pm It seems to be almost a psychological thing here - the Royals don't know how to act to this rather bizzare scenario. Awaiting our first shot on Sav...
21.16pm There's his first bit of action! Bertrand does well to skip over a couple of challenges before releasing Long, who races clear. He prods the ball a bit too far however and Savage is out well to dive and kick somehow steer the ball away with his chest.
21.17pm Savage is alert again as Kebe speeds down the right before clipping in a cross. The ball is deflected and the stand-in keeper just about gathers it.
21.18pm Bertrand goes down on the edge of the box and wins a free-kick. Sigurdsson steps up, curls in a great effort but Savage somehow dives and claws it over!! What a save!
21.19pm More good work from Savage from the resulting corner, it's right on his back post but he scrambles backwards and clips it over again. Wales' number one?!
21.23pm Lovely reverse pass from Sigurdsson to find Howard in the box, but he gets the ball under his feet and can't get a shot away.
21.24pm Another visionary ball from Gylfi out wide, this time to Kebe. The Malian brings it down and rattles in a half volley from a tight angle, but yet again Savage is unflustered and holds on.
21.26pm GOAL!! Well it had to come didn't it?! But it's from a strange source! Ryan Bertrand of all people takes advantage of hesitancy in the Rams backline and lashes home via a slight deflection. Not sure Robbie could do much about that one.
21.30pm Simon Church is ready to come on for Reading, he'll be hopeful of adding to his tally as surely now County have to come forward.
21.31pm Federici is called into action for the first time in a while. Pearson cuts in from the left and curls one in, but Feds is alert to tip it wide.
21.36pm Church gets his first real touch on the right of the area, and skids a cross-cum-shot into the area which avaids both Savage and the loitering Jay Tabb.
21.40pm! GOAL! That wasn't pretty, but it still counts! Kebe breaks away on the right and lofts over the head of a defender to Simon Church. Savage does well to initially charge down the striker but there's a fortunate deflection back to Churchy and he strokes home from a couple of yards.
21.43pm Church races away down the left under plenty of pressure but still manages to clip one into the box - where Savage is still alert to take it away from any in-coming Royals.
21.46pm Three minutes of time added on - time for one more methinks?!
