Royals manager Brian McDermott is very much looking forward to Saturday's home game with Bristol City and the opportunity to play in front of our own supporters once more.
We are unbeaten in the League at home since Brian took over in December, and he has built up a very good rapport with the supporters after taking us to the very top of the Championship form table in the last six games.
Brian said, "We're really enjoying playing at home and being in front of our own supporters.
"It's a third run of four home games and we appreciate the support. Bristol City is as close to a Derby as we'll get this season and they will bring a good support as well. I'm looking forward to the occasion.
"We're unbeaten in the League at home in 2010 and we've got to keep that going. We're not happy where we are in the League and we have to get out of that position.
"I just want us to perform again. The Derby game was a strange one and it was a bit surreal. It's not easy against ten men, I was getting irritated until we got the third goal and then everyone could relax. I was pleased to come through it. We were so on top in the first half that the crowd expected us to get five or six.
"It was really important to win on the back of losing against Villa. We got the crowd into the game right from the off, we created numerous chances and it was a fantastic result."
McDermott will have Jobi McAnuff back in contention for this weekend's fixture, but he is certainly not guaranteed an instant recall to the starting XI - despite starting every one of the previous 28 games. "We're pleased to have him back, he's conducted himself very well and it's great to have him back in the squad. He had done very well before the suspension and it was unfortunate for him."
Grzegorz Rasiak should shake off a thigh injury, and there are no other new injuries to report.
Last but by no means least this weekend's game is our designated fixture in the Football For Heroes campaign, and a number of special events are taking place, including a minute's silence. Brian said, "We met a few of the soldiers this week, we had pictures taken and I know they're at the game Saturday, it's a very, very worthy cause."
Tickets for this weekend's game are on general sale now to all Member Card holders. Telephone 0844 249 1871, use the online ticketing service or visit in person.
