Griffin could be back on Tuesday

Posted on: Mon 15 Mar 2010
Defender Andy Griffin missed the 2-0 win over Bristol City after failing a late fitness test, and he may return for Tuesday evening's game at home to QPR.

The full back had played 13 consecutive games since signing on loan from Stoke, and narrowly missed out on facing the Robins.

Boss Brian McDermott said, "He had a problem in training on Friday but he was nearly there and just missed out after a fitness test. We'll have another look over the next few days and see if he's right for Tuesday night."

Kalifa Cisse will be another week or two, while fellow midfielder Jem Karacan could be back in a similar amount of time.

Tickets for Tuesday's game are on general sale now to all Member Card holders. Telephone 0844 249 1871, use the online ticketing service or visit in person.
