Impeccable minute's silence

Posted on: Mon 15 Mar 2010
Both sets of supporters paid full respect during an impeccable minute's silence held before our fixture at home to Bristol City on Saturday afternoon.

The game was our designated fixture during the Football For Heroes week, and a silence was held as tribute to the late Richard Green, a Tilehurst man who lost his life in Afghanistan, as well as for all our other brave servicemen and women who have been affected by combat.

Six soldiers who served with Richard led the two teams out onto the pitch, and both managers wore Help For Heroes wristbands.

A collection was held before the game for Help For Heroes, and the club would like to thank supporters for their generosity - we will publish full details over the coming days once all monies have been collated.

For more information on the Football For Heroes campaign see the official Football League website.
