Manager Brian McDermott has given an update on Noel Hunt and Chris Armstrong as the duo work their way back from long term knee injuries.

Noel has not played since October, while Chris was last involved in the first team when on the bench in December.

Brian said, "We don't think Noel will be back this season but he's working every day. He's looking after himself really well and he'll be back when he's ready.

"Chris still has a problem with his knee and we're working with him every day to get him back as quickly as possible.

"Long term injuries are hard, it can be a lonely place but they're being looked after really well."

Kalifa Cisse is stepping up his training after an injury, while fellow midfielder Jem Karacan is currently sidelined with a broken hand. Young striker Radoslav Vasilev is also in the treatment room at the moment.
