Joyce represents Ireland

Posted on: Fri 14 May 2010
Young academy star Danny Joyce is enjoying a spell on international duty this week, as he represents the Royals on the continent.

Danny is in the middle of a double header for Republic of Ireland under-18s, who will be looking to exact revenge on their counterparts from Macedonia after falling to a 1-0 defeat in Ohrid City on Tuesday night.

The second match will take place this afternoon with a 4.30pm kick off and Danny will be looking to build on a solid display after he put in a 90 minute shift in the first game.

Fellow scholar Jordan Obita has also received a provisional call up, as he hopes to join the England under-17s for their European Championship campaign in Liechtenstein.

The three lions begin their tournament next week against the Czech Republic, in a group stage that also includes Greece and Turkey.
