Thank you to all loyal Royals who have donated to the chosen charity of 'The Royal' in the past two seasons.
Since the matchday programme began to regularly run your messages every week, Reading and District Hospitals and The Dame Vera Lynn Trust For Children With Cerebral Palsy began to benefit from the generosity of those fans who wanted to make a voluntary donation.
We run your messages on the big screen at half time and, if we can, we also print them in every issue of 'The Royal' - our official matchday programme...all free of charge.
But we want your messages to make a difference!
A new justgiving site - www.justgiving.com/theroyalprogramme - has been set up for 2010/11 and we'd like to encourage all those who ask for a message to be broadcast on the big screen or in the programme to make a voluntary donation our chosen charity.
Marie Curie Cancer Care provides high quality nursing, totally free, to give people with terminal cancer and other illnesses the choice of dying at home, supported by their families.
It runs nine Marie Curie Hospices across the UK offering free specialist care for patients and support for families. The charity conducts palliative care research to find better ways of caring for terminally ill people and also funds scientists who investigate the causes and treatments of cancer.
So if you have a message printed or broadcast on the big screen this season and you would like to make a donation, please visit www.justgiving.com/theroyalprogramme and give what you can. It's quick and simple and every penny counts no matter how small the donation.
Birthdays, wedding congratulations, anniversaries, hen parties - whatever the message, we want to hear from you.
To send your messages to us, email birthdays@readingfc.co.uk and we will aim to do the rest. To be in with a chance of seeing your message in the matchday programme, please make sure it reaches us at least three working days before the match in question.
