Goalkeeper Alex McCarthy
is returning back to Reading following a successful loan spell at Brentford, and fellow stopper Ben Hamer
is moving in the opposite direction, agreeing a loan at Griffin Park until January.
England u21 international McCarthy has played three games for Andy Scott's men in the last month, gaining valuable experience, and he will now return to Madejski Stadium to be part of our first team squad.
Hamer's loan sees him return to the club where he enjoyed great success in previous loans, winning promotion and picking up the official divisional Golden Glove award for most clean sheets in 2008/9.
Meanwhile, the Club have agreed for Mikkel Andersen to extend his loan at League One Bristol Rovers until January, the Danish u21 international keeper having spent the majority of last season there as well, winning their young player of the season award.
