Young duo steer England to victory

Posted on: Fri 03 Sep 2010

Angus MacDonald and Jack Mills both played 90 minutes for England under 19s on Thursday evening, as the Young Lions battled to a 2-0 victory over Slovakia at Gresty Road.

The Royals promising defensive duo were two of only four England players to last the whole game, as Head Coach Noel Blake rung the changes throughout the contest.

Liverpool youngsters Jonjo Shelvy and Michael Ngoo got the goals for the home nation, whilst Angus and Jack put in sterling performances to shutout the Slovakian forward line.

Eight members of Brian McDermott's first team squad will also be in international action this weekend - for more information click here.
