Brynjar back in Berkshire

Posted on: Tue 07 Sep 2010
Midfield man Brynjar Gunnarsson is back with the Royals and will not play for Iceland this evening in a qualifying match against Denmark.

He picked up a hamstring injury against Leicester in our last outing, but is hopeful of being fit for this weekend's npower Championship encounter against Crystal Palace at Madejski Stadium.

Gunnarsson did travel with Iceland for a qualifier in Norway at the weekend, but was not involved and has now returned to England and was at Hogwood Park this morning.

Meanwhile, Zurab Khizanishvili plays for Georgia tonight as they take on Israel in a Euro 2012 qualifier, kick off 6pm UK time. A number of UK online bookmakers will be showing the game live.

Adam Federici's Australia play Poland in a friendly, while Shane Long's Ireland host Andorra in a qualifying encounter, live on Sky Sports 4.
