The Royals have now launched an official feed on Twitter.

The feed gives supporters regular, exclusive short and timely messages from inside the club, and it's a great way to find out more about what's happening behind the scenes.

The feed is live now at www.twitter.com/readingfc

If you've never used Twitter before, it's a very exciting way of communicating. We'll publish short messages whenever something interesting or newsworthy is happening, and it brings you closer to what's going on at Madejski Stadium.

It's completely free, and you don't even have to register to see what we've Tweeted (written) recently. If you do sign up, simply choose to Follow us and you'll be able to receive our updates more easily. Twitter have a very useful guide for beginners which is available here.

We will be using Twitter to bring supporters closer to the club, the players and all the events that take place.

We've also launched a new Facebook group facebook.com/readingfc and an official iPhone app which is just available here. The club are very excited about these new methods of communicating with our supporters, and are keen to take fans' views on any aspect of our social media offering - please email facebook@readingfc.co.uk with any questions or comments.
