'The Royal' speaks exclusively to Chairman

Posted on: Fri 10 Sep 2010
In this weekend's issue of 'The Royal', Chairman Sir John Madejski gives his unedited comments on Gylfi Sigurdsson's departure to Hoffenheim,
the loss of our parachute payments and how we have needed to cope with it, his own tenure as chairman and, most importantly, the future of Reading
Football Club.

Here is a sneak preview of what you will see inside Saturday's edition...

The Royal

Madejski: This transfer gives us a way forward - for the club and for the fans. It might not feel like it right now, but it is a positive move and the right move."

The Royal

McDermott: "Those of you who have followed us over the past nine months will have been less surprised at this philosophy of going for all three points. This is something I am determined to instil at this club."

The Royal

Mills: "Wearing the captain's armband means a huge deal to me and to be able to go over and salute the fans after a win like that felt brilliant."

The Royal

Federici: "I'm very, very proud to be Australian. And I'm very proud to play for Australia."

The Royal

STAR: "It's a pleasure to see Palace here after they came so close to extinction earlier this year, and I have nothing but praise for their supporters."

The Royal

Osborn: "I was a £90,000 player 11 months before and here I was with someone prepared to pay more than a million for me!"

And there is so much more - Scott Davies draws Jedward, Michail Antonio wishes he could sing and our Young Royals prize winner gets his darwing published.

We also reveal Reading Football Club's Player of the Month for August, and give you a behind the scenes sneak peek into some interesting self-made boot modifications made for a number of our players!
