Australian international goalkeeper who is a mainstay between the sticks, with experience in the Premier League, Olympics and World Cup.

A determined and driven athlete with a fantastic mentality, he came through the famous
Australian Institute of Sport, then moved half way across the globe to begin his career in football.

He first trialled with Bolton before joining Wolves on a non-contract basis for much of their 2002/3 promotion season, and was then on to
Italian club Sardenga. He soon decided he wanted to return to England, spending a couple of months with Leeds in the summer of 2004.

He came to Madejski Stadium on non-contract terms in January 2005, and such was his determination and drive to earn himself a deal in Berkshire, he slept on Ibrahima Sonko's sofa for a short period.
In the early part of the 2005/6 season he was on the bench for a number of Royals games, and stayed on non-contract terms while also playing for non-Leaguers Carshalton.

His hard work and ability paid dividends in the summer of 2006 when he signed a one-year professional contract with Reading, and he soon celebrated his new deal by scoring in a pre-season friendly at Bromley after being thrown up front!

After impressing in the FA Cup, particularly when winning player of the round for a superb display at Old Trafford, he signed a new contract to further commit himself to the club, and he also made his Premiership debut away at Tottenham, marking the next stage in a quite remarkable journey.

The summer of 2008 saw him as first choice in Australia's Olympic team in Beijing, performing very well against the likes of Argentina's Lionel Messi and catching the eye once again against some of the world's best players.

He then furthered his footballing education with a successful two-month loan at Southend, before starting the 2009/10 campaign in fine form as the Royals' first choice stopper. His form in that, his first real season as a number one, was exceptional, and he ended the campaign by making his full Australia debut against New Zealand in a World Cup warm-up game. He was then a substitute for all three of the Socceroos' games in South Africa, invaluable experience for a young goalkeeper.

More top displays followed at club level the following season, leading to 'Fedders' penning a new contract in January that should keep him at Madejski Stadium until 2013.

Despite a rare injury side lining the powerful stopper for two months of the season run-in, Adam returned to keep a clean sheet in both legs of our play-off semi-final with Cardiff - helping Brian McDermott's men seal a place at Wembley.

Notched up his 100th appearance for the club in a league clash with Portsmouth in August 2011.
