England U21 international who joined the Royals from Fulham on transfer deadline day in August 2007; a straight swap for Seol Ki-Hyeon.
Started his career out as a trainee at Bristol City where he made 28 appearances before a move to Fulham at the age of 19.
Went on to establish himself in the team at Craven Cottage under Chris Coleman, making 92 appearances in total for the club.
Made his debut in the 2-1 defeat at Sunderland in September 2007, scoring his first goal in the incredible 7-4 reverse at Portsmouth a fortnight later.
Played in a variety of positions in that first campaign but was first choice right back at the start of the 2008/9 season.
Left the Madejski at the start of the new campaign for a season long loan with Ipswich Town.
