French central defender who joined the Royals on a two-year contract in the summer of 2004 on a Bosman-style free transfer from Brentford, and rapidly established a regular starting place.

Ibrahima has captained the Senegal under 23s, and also played for their full national side in an unofficial friendly, but is still eligible to play for France in the future.

He left Senegal for France when aged just six months, and his first professional club was St Etienne.

After spending two years with their Academy he signed for Grenoble before moving to Brentford in the summer of 2002.

In 2005/6 season he was a huge influence at the heart of the Royals defence, starting in all but one of the league fixtures. Along the way he netted three times including a late winner in the 3-2 victory at home to Crystal Palace.

Settled into life in the Premiership brilliantly, but an unfortunate cruciate knee injury picked up at home to Sheffield United ruled him out for the season.

Made his first team comeback in the 4-2 defeat at Blackburn Rovers in October 2007.
